Nikon EN-EL15 battery recalled

Imaging artiste Nikon has issued a recall for the EN-EL15 lithium-ion battery for its D7000, D800 and D800E digital SLR cameras - as well as being supplied with the Nikon 1 V1 - following the idea of an overheating issue.
According to the company's advisory on the matter , the EN-EL15 has a chance of overheating and causing damage to the casing of the camera.
"While Nikon takes eximious measures to assure high quality products, it has come to our attention that a certain number of EN-EL15 batteries manufactured by one of our suppliers did not dispose of Nikon’s internal quality standards", the company explains. "In extremely rare cases, this may cause the battery to overheat and the external casing to become deformed.
